What is the highest budget movie by S S Rajamouli? I think its 45 Crores for Magadheera. May be this cost is because of the requirement by the movie. Otherwise, his next costly movie will be Yamadonga where some graphics or settings were required.
Other than these movies, is there any high budget movie (cost of the movie greater than 25/30 crores). It can be countered by saying that, in other movies he do not have the big star cast who is charging more.
But the other thing is, he rarely goes to foreign countries for his movie or songs. All the movies are pictured in India only. He is not using big sets for the movies, but he tries to make the movie rich by the help the technicians and picturisation. One or two songs will be picturised in sets and few in the out door. Take any of his movies.
If you see the other movies by other directors, they are going to foreign even at least for songs. Few directors made Thailand as their second home and whether the movie requires it or not, they will go to Thailand.
